Have you ever set a goal multiple times that you haven’t been able to reach?

You do all of the actions you’re “supposed” to.

You work really hard.

You invest in all types of programs, templates, and support.

Yet you still haven’t managed to achieve it?

This happens when your unconscious values do not support what your conscious mind wants.

Read on to discover exactly why this happens and the actions you can take to break through this pattern.

What’s Your Mount Kilimanjaro Goal?

Before you can reach a goal, you have to ensure it’s the goal that is going to activate everything in your body. A goal that lights you up and that you become so committed to, you’ll do whatever it takes to make it happen.

Years ago, Carson worked with a coach who asked him, “What do you truly want to do? If you could do it, what would be the most amazing thing that you could do?”

His response?

Hike Mount Kilimanjaro.

Then the coach asked, “When do you want to do it?”

Carson replied, “In five years.”

“In five years? No. When do you really want to do it?” His coach asked.

Caron’s intuition jumped in and replied, “One year.”

It felt so ambitious; Carson had a moment when he couldn’t believe he even said that. But he committed to it, and now it was time for him to take inspired actions to reach his goal.

But for the first three months, he got ready, to get ready, to get ready, to get ready, to kind of almost get ready to then maybe get ready to hike Mount Kilimanjaro.

So after three months, his coach said, “STOP IT! What are you doing? What is the plan? What are your inspired actions?”

And Carson got clear on his actions and achieved his goal in one year and five days.

What is your Mount Kilimanjaro? What could happen in your life if you reached “your Mount Kilimanjaro?”

Reflect on those questions to determine if the goals you’ve been setting can activate you in this way.

Your Conscious Mind is the Goal-Setter, And Your Unconscious Mind is the Goal-Getter

Your conscious mind is the goal-SETTER. It says, “I want this.”

It determines your tangible goals, like, “I want to make $10,000 a month.”

But your unconscious mind is the goal-GETTER.

Your unconscious values, limiting beliefs, and negative emotions live in your unconscious mind, and when you’re not reaching a goal, they’re not in alignment with what your conscious mind wants.

Your job is to uncover what is happening in your unconscious mind that’s blocking your goals, s you have to learn to tap into your intuition to do this.

When you do, you’ll hit every goal you set.

3 Most Common Conflicts Between the Conscious and Unconscious Minds Blocking Your Goals

When we’re working with our clients, there are three common conflicts between the conscious and unconscious that we notice most often.

These examples are just examples designed to support you in bringing your unconscious to the conscious, but you have to uncover exactly what these unconscious blocks are for yourself.

  1. I Want to Be Successful, But I Don’t Want to Change Who I Am and Be Someone I’m Not

Most of our clients want to be successful.

That’s what their conscious mind is saying.

But their unconscious mind says, “I don’t want to change who I am and be someone I’m not.”

They actually sabotage their success because they don’t want to change who they are.

If this resonates with you, there’s a good reason for it.

Your identity has worked for you up until this point, and your unconscious mind thinks, “Who am I going to be if I change and transform to the next level?”

This is what makes you unconsciously sabotage yourself.

  1. I Have a Big Dream, But I Don’t Want to Disappoint Anyone

Another common conflict we see is clients who say, “I have a big dream and a vision that I want to make happen.”

But their unconscious minds say, “I don’t want to disappoint my family, friends, or spouse, et cetera.

These two conflicting values are what cause confusion, overwhelm and slow you down.

We have a process to integrate those values and clear up the pain that’s driving the values.

You can have both, but you can’t have both if your conscious mind wants one thing and your unconscious mind wants another. You have to integrate both of them.

  1. You Want to Be an Influencer and Leave a Legacy, But The Thought of Sharing Your Whole Self is Not Safe

Another pattern we see is people want to be an influencer so they can leave a legacy, but their unconscious mind feels that sharing their whole self is not safe.

Jen experienced this in her entrepreneurial journey.

Others perceived her as a successful business owner helping others make six and seven figures in their business— yet at home, she was hiding in her closet. There was nowhere else for her to go to escape the emotional and mental abuse from being married to a toxic alcoholic.

She felt like she was living two lives, which massively affected how she showed up.

When she was able to integrate and release her trauma, she had breakthroughs that helped Genius Unlocked reach the level of success it has.

When you feel safe and that you’re your whole self, you can give everyone else around you permission to be their full selves as well.

How to Uncover Your Unconscious Blocks

If you want to reach every goal you set out to achieve, you have to explore what is the true genius that is inside of you that has been suppressed, misunderstood, or simply completely unconscious and not activated at all.

In our programs, we use a number of different techniques and tools to support you in making this possible.

One way we do this is to look at your patterns.

Patterns are power.

When we can notice patterns like fear, scarcity, shame, judgment, and what’s not working, we can get learnings when we work through those with our intuition.

Looking at the chart below, where are you most at effect by what you said you wanted to activate in your life?

Starting there will give you the insight you need to take inspired action.

How to Reach a Goal You Set With Ease

How to Reach a Goal You Set With Ease

If you set a goal for yourself and haven’t reached it, it’s an opportunity.

Rather than be upset or beat yourself up when you don’t reach your goals, be on the hunt for where you’re out of alignment.

This is going to require that you bring your unconscious thoughts and emotions to your conscious mind so you can heal them.

When you can do that, you can align your conscious and unconscious minds and reach every goal you set.

Connect with your intuition, and you’ll find the answers for exactly what aligned action you need to take.
